Data privacy & cookie policy
Collection and use of personal information
Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact an individual.
We and our affiliates may share this personal information with each other to carry out business and legal obligations (such as shipping our products to you and making sure that you are eligible for our warranty) and use it consistent with this Privacy Policy and UK and EU law. You are not required to provide the personal information that we have requested, but, if you chose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to any queries you may have.
Here are some examples of the types of personal information we may collect and how we may use it:
The personal information that we collect
When you order a product from our website or affiliated online retailer, we will need to process information such as your shipping address, billing address name, and email address. If you sign up to our mailing list, we’ll collect similar information to give you relevant details on offers, competitions, and just general news that you might find interesting.
What happens if I don’t provide the necessary personal information?
If you fail to provide certain information when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have entered into with you (such as providing you with our products or services), or we may be prevented from complying with our legal obligations.
How do we use your personal information?
The vast majority of the personal information we collect allows us to deliver your product to you and ensure that if any issues arise we can solve them with you, your courier, or within Tech Charge. As our products come with a 2 year warranty, we also store some personal data to be able to verify that you have purchased one of our products and are eligible for the warranty.
We will also use personal data to keep you posted on Tech Charge’s latest product announcements, company updates, upcoming events, or ask for ratings and reviews.
From time to time, we may use your personal information to send important notices, such as communications about purchases and changes to our products, terms, conditions, and policies. As this information is important to your interaction with Tech Charge, you cannot opt out of receiving these communications. If you have particular concerns about this, please contact info@tech-artltd.co.ukand we will be happy to help.
We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing our processes, fixing problems that customers experience, data analysis, and research to improve our products, services, and customer service. However, we always make sure that the amount of personal data used is the absolute minimum required to do the job.
If you enter into a sweepstake, contest, or similar promotion we may use the information you provide to administer those programs.
COLLECTION AND USE OF NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION
We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. The following are some examples of non-personal information that we collect and how we may use it:
We may collect information such as language, unique device identifier, referrer URL, location, and the time zone where the order was placed so that we can better understand customer behaviour and improve our products, services, and advertising.
We may collect Tech Charge data regarding customer activities on our website. This data cannot be traced back to any individual and is aggregated and used to help us provide more useful information to our customers and to understand which parts of our website, products, and services are of most interest, or what our customer demographics are. Aggregated data is considered non-personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

If you do decide to reject web cookies then please be aware that our website will not be fully functional as the items in your cart will not be retained as you go through the checkout process.
Disclosure to third parties
In order for us to process your payment and ship your order, we have to share some personal information with third parties, such as your local courier service. Personal data is governed by Tech Charge’s and any given third party’s privacy policy. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.
We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users.
